Emma, inspired by her daughter, wanted to avoid harsh chemicals on their skin such as Methyl, Propyl, Butyl and Ethyl Parabens, Sodium Lauryl/Laureth Sulfate (SLS’s & SLR’s), petrolatum, synthetic colours and fragrances and more. Emma could not find a soap that was as the label described or portrayed; a soap that was environmentally sustainable, that performed, which naturally cleaned and moisturised the skin. Unable to find a soap and not willing to use alternatives. Emma decided to make her own soap. It took eight months to perfect her recipe, adding and deducting oils and adjusting percentages, until she perfected the recipe, enabling her to produce a soap that she was happy the family could use. Once the product had been tested by the family and certified by a chemist. Emma gave friends and family the soap to try; they kept asking for more! It was at this point Emma decide to go into production. In a nutshell: Emma’s Soap is:-
My soaps are handmade in small batches, the price set is fair and competitive, and it represents the time taken to make the soap and ingredients included. Emma believes the consumer will no longer need additional moisturisers such as hand cream body lotions, aftershave etc., making Emma’s Soap an environmentally affordable option accessible to all. The Product The art of soap making is in the ingredients, and the saponification calculations, whilst I am not going to give my recipes away, my basic ingredients are: Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, and Sweet Almond Oil. From here I make 5 different soaps by adding either Jojoba Oil, Rosehip Oil, Avocado Oil, Shea Butter and or Cocoa Butter. Finally each soap benefits from some essential oils, for their properties and scent; again recipes designed by me to benefit you the consumer.
